Health Geography Award
Based on the initiative of the Health Geography Researcher's Network (HGRN) the
International Geographical Union Commission on Health and the Environment (IGU CHE) is delighted to announce the implementation of an international Health Geography Award.
The aim of this prize is to create visibility and stimulate and support knowledge on health geography.
The prize is dedicated to graduate students and researchers (up to 5 years after the PhD) who have made outstanding presentations (oral or poster) during main conferences in the field of health geography: the GEOSAUDE conference catering to health geographers in the Portuguese and Spanish speaking community and the International Medical Geography Symposium (IMGS) provided to the global health geography community. The annual IGU CHE online health geography symposium and regional IGU CHE conferences.
The winners received a certificate at the closing ceremony and a small sum as a prize award, the winners at the IMGS will receive in addition 3 years of access to Springer Global Perspectives on Health Geography book series.
